U.S. Poker Players Beware Poker Site Scam

Just a quick heads up for my readers...

Anyone in the U.S. playing online poker would be advised to deposit into your account using a prepaid gift visa card or reloadable credit card.

The poker sites who are accepting U.S. players are using very shady tactics to charge your credit cards. They basically start up new companies every day making them look like phone cards, Voice over IP Internet Phone services and any type of data company. They use these new bogus companies to apply for credit card merchant accounts and charge your card using these disposable company names. Players have been reporting extra funds missing from their accounts and some even their bank accounts. When the investigation goes down with the bank, the company cannot be traced and you're beat for your money.

Even worse, they require you to send in a copy of your drivers license and credit card. There have been cases of cards being charged up for thousands of dollars and the bank could not do anything because the scam network has your photo id and card as proof that you were doing business with them.

You may not have had this happen or maybe you have. Just please be careful! Sometimes it's worth it to take a little vacation getaway to your nearest casino resort. If you win, you actually get paid!
